Apartment in Junqueiro

The apartment is on the ground floor of a building from the end of the 1960's, in Bairro do Junqueiro, designed by architects Henrique Albino (1921-2003) and José Croft de Moura (1922-1997). In order to meet the needs of the new inhabitants and their demand for an extra room - which could be used as an office or guest room - the kitchen was relocated and became part of the living space. By simplifying the spatial organization of the apartment, it was possible to establish visual axes between the bedrooms (to the north) and the living, cooking and dining areas (to the south), favoring natural lighting and ventilation.
